The Crawford County CAFO Study Committee has only had two meetings, before being canceled until further notice due to the pandemic.

Meanwhile, our existing CAFO in the county has filed its initial application for “Roth Feeder Pig II” in Marietta Township. An industrial hog operation twice the size of the existing Roth Feeder Pig CAFO in Wauzeka Township.

Everything is in turmoil right now, especially agriculture. The changes our society and economy are experiencing are affecting all of our communities.

It is time to plan and set our vision for agriculture that is not a threat to our health, safety, and welfare, not blindly expanding already over-producing industries at the cost of our environmental and community well being.
